DCC COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Darien Chamber of Commerce offers scholarships to deserving students each year. The primary source of the 2020 scholarship fundraising was by the 2019 Annual Wine & Food Tasting event at BMW of Darien and membership renewal donations made by Darien Chamber members. The application for 2020 is now available with a due date for the application and all supporting documents by April 15th, 2020. A special committee of DCC Board Members is appointed to select the recipients. In 2020, we will award two scholarships ($2000 each) to the students of Chamber Member families, or students of employees of Chamber Members. One DCC Member scholarship is a general education scholarship and the other is a STEM scholarship. Each scholarship award is paid directly to the university the awardee is attending and the check must be written to the university before December 30th, 2020. The Chamber Scholarship is a one time award. To be eligible for a DCC Member scholarship the Darien Chamber member (who the student is applying through) must be in good standing with the Chamber for 2020.

Please note that DCC scholarship recipients are asked to ride with the DCC in the Darien Memorial Day Parade and this is a condition of acceptance! The 2020 Memorial Day parade is scheduled for May 25th, 2020 at 10:00am.
