After a year in development, we are excited to launch Darien's first community mobile app, LIVE DARIEN CT, generously sponsored by the Darien Sport Shop! The App brings the town’s resources together in one place including everything from restaurants, shopping and leisure to local government, recreation, and real estate listings. Darien Dollars, the new town wide gift certificate program, will launch this summer and offer gift deliveries and redemptions via text or email on the app.
The app hosts a “EAT/SHOP/PLAY/WORK-LIVE” format, with key features including our Directory with reputable, local businesses, establishments and organizations and the Darien Community Calendar, a quick access guide to local events, activities, and promotions. Go to PLAY --> Events to be in-the-know! Town amenities, resources, job postings, emergency services, and more are all part of the app.

Save the Date for Chamber Jam, Darien’s first annual music and food festival! Featuring local music and restaurants offering a wide variety of local cuisine and beverages pleasing any festival-goer! Plus signature specialty cocktail choices.
Historically known as The Annual Wine & Food Tasting Auction, Chamber Jam will be held on October 8, 2022 with a goal to celebrate our wonderful town. Headlining musical guest, The Spadtastics and opening band, Busker, will provide live music throughout the evening.

Barrett Bookstore and the Darien Community Association are thrilled to announce a live, in-person event at the DCA with actor and author Julianna Margulies, to celebrate the paperback release of her memoir, Sunshine Girl: An Unexpected Life.
Mission: Possible!: Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to support The Community Fund of Darien’s 2nd annual “community chase” – a scavenger hunt for teams of friends and families of all ages! May 13-15. Teams of 4-6 players will be assigned points for each mission completed. Play for fun or be “in it to win it” for a chance to earn prizes and bragging rights. Registration opens on April 26.
