Welcome La Taqueria to Darien! Mexican Food is one of the more popular cuisines in the United States. Chef and Owner, Dennis Lake, brings that full-service experience into a fun, but fast casual space. With handmade blue corn tortillas paired with fire-roasted salsas, grilled and oven-roasted “Carnes”, this menu will not disappoint. La Taqueria offers premium Tequilas, Mezcals and Margaritas... We welcome you and your friends, to come in and try us out.
As an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America, Dennis worked with both Certified Master Chefs (CMC’s), Brad Barnes, and Hartmut Handke, the first four years out of the Institute. From hotels to large, themed restaurants in Times Square, to Celebrity Chefs and most recently, Glaze Teriyaki and Rosa Mexicano, have all formed him into who he is today.
The menu includes Small Plates including signature guacamole, arroz & frijoles, to all types of Tacos, a Chef's Plate, Salad Plate and Grilled Chicken Burrito. We also proudly serve Aldez Tequila. Aldez Tequila is a responsibly sourced, artisanal branded and produced from 100% blue agaves. Being Certified Organic, in both the US and in Europe, Aldez Tequila prides itself in being eco-friendly by using recycled glass, labels and corks. We strive to minimize our impact on the environment. Life is too short to drink bad tequila.
