YWCA Darien/Norwalk Author Talk with Michelle Horton

Join YWCA Darien/Norwalk for an intimate conversation on surviving abuse and reclaiming strength, in partnership with the Darien Library and Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC). Michelle Horton, author of Dear Sister: A Memoir of Secrets, Survival, and Unbreakable Bonds will share the story of how her sister was incarcerated after killing her abusive partner in self defense. The discussion will be moderated by Ann Rodwell Lawton, COO of DVCC. This event is part of YWCA’s annual Week Without Violence, a series of events during #DomesticViolenceAwarenessMonth to raise awareness, amplify survivor voices, and unite our community in the fight to end gender-based violence.
