JOB TITLE: Private Events Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Private Events Manager
STATUS: Contracted position for evening and weekend events
HOURLY RATE: $25-30 per hour
Background
The Darien Community Association is a non-profit organization built on the values of community,
sustainability, learning and green spaces. Every year, we invite tens of thousands of people to our
properties for opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and celebrate. Celebrations at the Meadowlands are like no other, from once-in-a-lifetime wedding ceremonies, baby
showers, and milestone birthdays, to large holiday parties, receptions and community events. Our historic
15,000-square-foot Regency-style home – with newly renovated rooms – offers spacious and cozy
spaces, alike. It is situated on eight acres of land, with an outdoor terrace, sweeping front lawn, nature
trail, and private gardens. Our property is meticulously cared for by professionals, inside and out,
ensuring that the Meadowlands shines and our guests’ experiences exceed their own expectations.
Primary Objective of the Private Events Coordinator
Acting as a representative of the DCA, the Private Events Coordinator ensures that private events (like
weddings, private parties, and receptions) held at the Meadowlands are executed smoothly and any
issues are resolved quickly and to the mutual satisfaction of our clients and our team.
