This workshop aims to demystify and define the terms bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and blockchain. Additionally, you will gain a fundamental understanding of the concepts and why they matter. Note: This workshop does not provide investment advice.
This workshop will:
Define bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and blockchain and describe the fundamental technologies behind them
Explain why cryptocurrencies matter
Explore the technological, social and financial impact of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies
About the presenter
Matthew Krieger is a technologist and executive with experience in IT and manufacturing. He is an Advisory Chief Technology Officer for non-profits and VP of Technology with Cober, Inc. Previously Matt held senior IT leadership positions at Time, Inc. and Reader’s Digest. Matt serves on the board of two non-profits, is a frequent presenter on topics of business and technology, and is a business mentor with SCORE. Matt is also creator of text-to-speech service Whysper.
