Does college make sense right now? Thinking gap year? With the collegiate landscape’s recent dramatic shift, in light of COVID-19, many students and their families are thinking towards the fall and considering a drastic reframing of the college years. Having always assumed that college for their kids would look a certain way, parents are struggling to make the best emotional and financial choices for their kids’ education. Join us for an engaging conversation with education consultant, Kristin White, founder and director of Darien Academic Advisors LLC and author of The Complete Guide to the Gap Year. Kristin will discuss the gap year and what a gap year could look like from home; she will also discuss the idea of what college will look like this fall and what to do if you decide not to enroll this fall. Kristin will also shed light on how college admissions may change for high school juniors. There will be ample opportunity for Q+A. This conversation is geared toward parents of college-bound or college-aged kids, and students are welcome to join.
