Chamber Announces Festival O’ Wreaths 2.0

The Darien Chamber of Commerce and Darien Nature Center, in a shop local effort this holiday season, is bringing back a spin on the famous and beloved, "Festival of Wreaths”. Unique and locally handmade wreaths will be displayed for auction in participating Darien stores.

The Chamber has invited local artists to make decorative wreaths to encourage shopping local and raise funds for two charities: Darien Chamber Charitable Foundation and Darien Nature Center.

Town residents, Jane Glassmeyer and Holly Galper made a dog themed wreath, “May your Days be Hairy & Bright”, hanging at Get Joy, Amy Benedict made "Yuletide Yeti" (shown here) to go up at Griebs Pharmacy, Anne Baurmeister crafted, “Espresso Self” to be displayed at NEAT, and there is a crayon themed wreath up at the Darien Toy Box called, “ABC 123”.

Sipstirs has a booze themed wreath hanging in their window made by Sara Murphy and Aquarius has a wreath named, “Then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars”, from the song Aquarius made by Pam Huber (shown here). In total 27 one-of-a-kind wreaths will be displayed throughout town.
Bidding will end promptly at 2pm on December 21st.
Bidding can only take place in the stores.
