Darien Cars and Coffee II

The first event is in the books. It was amazing, and if you missed it, you can find some photos here. Our second event of the season will be on Sunday, July 9th from 7 am to 10 am.

Goodwives Shopping Center was the starting point for the last official Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash and its successor, Brock Yates’ One Lap of America. Sadly, the old Lock, Stock, and Barrel restaurant burned down some years ago, but Goodwives remains the perfect spot for car people like us to share our passion for automobiles. (Note: for those of you who were at the Lock Stock for that last race, we apologize, but there won’t be any Jello wrestling this time around.)

Season sponsors Riley Volvo, Riley Mazda, and Riley Motorcycles will be on hand with some toys. They’ll be joined by season sponsors The Auto Spa of Fairfield and Premier Auto Tag Services and event sponsor Titan Energy. Specialty food retailer Aux Delices will be open early for coffee and some truly delicious breakfast treats.

Spectators: Admission is free. Parking is available at the Mechanics Street parking lot (red area) diagonally across the street from Goodwives. Just follow the signs. Don’t forget to stop by the registration booth for your free commemorative lanyard which contains the barcode for your 25% discount at Aux Delices.

Exhibitors: Show cars will be parked on-site (green area). The cost to show a car is $15 in advance ($20 day of). Spaces on-site are limited, so please RSVP early. Everyone who shows their car gets a commemorative lanyard, FREE coffee, and 25% off their breakfast items from Aux Delices.
