“Don’t Wait” Film Screening & Discussion

Join the Thriving Youth Task Force, Silver Hill Hospital and YWCA Parent Awareness for a screening and panel discussion of “Don’t Wait,” the award-winning film from the nonprofit organization Addiction is Real about substance use prevention & early intervention utilizing the power of proactive parenting. “Don’t Wait” provides insights on why it’s essential for parents to talk to their kids early and often; how to best approach these conversations; and what to do if you spot the signs of drug and alcohol use in your child.

The 52-minute screening will be followed by a discussion with Erin Kelley, Executive Director of Addiction is Real, and a mother featured in the film who will share her personal experiences with addiction. An at-home screening will be available after the event.
