The Mather Homestead Art Lecture : American Vistas – from the Hudson River to National Park lands

Robin Hoffman of ArtScapades has been teaching art appreciation since 1998 and lectures on many topics. The lecture will focus the Hudson River School, New York City based landscape painters of the mid-nineteenth century who captured the majestic Western landscapes. Through their awe-inspiring works, the public came to see these special places for the first time, spurring them to preserve these lands for future generations. The lecture will be held in the Elizabeth W. Chilton Education Center at the Mather Homestead.
