Writing, Hollywood + Glass Ceilings: Jan Eliasberg + Rebecca Serle at EVERWELL

March 11, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$25.00

Join Everwell and Barrett Bookstore as we welcome authors Jan Eliasberg and Rebecca Serle for a discussion on their respective new books, screenwriting in Hollywood and their inspiring careers.

Jan Eliasberg, who has had an illustrious career in film, theatre and television (with directing credits that include, but are not limited to: Thirteen Reasons Why, Parenthood, Nashville, Dawson’s Creek, Party of Five, NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Cagney & Lacey) has written her first novel, Hannah’s War, to be released in March 2020. Jan is a glass ceiling-shattering writer/director; her film and television career began when she was hand-picked by Michael Mann to be the first female director on Miami Vice and Crime Story, Wiseguy, and 21 Jump Street soon followed, establishing her at the top of the field. Eliasberg’s new novel, Hannah’s War, is being compared to The Nightingale and The Alice Network.

Rebecca Serle is an author and television writer who lives in New York and Los Angeles. Serle codeveloped the hit TV adaptation of her YA series Famous in Love, and is also the author of The Dinner List, and YA novels The Edge of Falling and When You Were Mine. She received her MFA from the New School in NYC. Early praise for her new novel, In Five Years suggests that “this is the next great love story. It’s just not the one you were expecting….”

Everwell’s Thought Consultant, Page Berger will moderate what is sure to be a thought-provoking and entertaining evening!

Hannah’s War and In Five Years will be on sale at the event.
