YWCA Darien/Norwalk Parent Awareness Presents: Girl Talk
April 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free
Our annual Girl Talk event is an age-appropriate discussion that provides a safe and comfortable space for kids (recommended ages 10-12) and their parents/caregivers to learn about the physical and emotional changes that come with puberty.
Hosted by Diane Frankel-Gramelis from Yale School of Public Health, this session is an honest, informative discussion on what girls can expect during puberty. Topics include basic anatomy, breast development, periods, and personal hygiene—all presented in a fun and engaging way to encourage confidence and open communication.
This program is designed for caregivers to attend with their children, providing the perfect starting point for continued conversations at home. Don’t miss out on these invaluable opportunities to support your child’s growth with expert-led guidance in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment.
