Featured New Member – Sandalwood Interior Design

Sandalwood Interior Design provides uniquely human-centric design.  By focusing on Wellness as our top priority, we are helping our clients to realize that design matters and can have the power to change lives for the better.  We design in partnership with tradespeople, artisans, architects, builders and makers who are also committed to healthy living through interior design.

Integrity, transparency and accountability are our core values.  Kate Baiocco is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and certified as a GREEN Accredited Professional by the Sustainable Furnishings Council.  In addition, she is actively involved in the International WELL Building Institute’s WELL Portfolio program to raise the bar for healthy living through interior design.  We are striving to make interiors more healthful spaces, as Americans currently spend more than 93% of their time indoors.

Prior to opening Sandalwood last year, Kate worked for more than a decade in the residential design sector for several firms in Fairfield and Westport, wearing every kind of hat from design assistant to project manager to senior designer.  Kate moved to Darien 20 months ago from Fairfield and lives with her two teenage daughters and their rescue dog, Lulu.  She is also an active volunteer at Person-to-Person and enjoys taking full advantage of the Darien beaches!
