Happy 100th Birthday Palmer’s Market!!
It’s always fun to celebrate a birthday, and today was a VERY special birthday that we celebrated! Happy 100th Birthday to Palmer’s Market!! While we are unsure of the EXACT birth date, from now on, let’s just call June 9th, “Palmer’s Day!” Today we celebrated their 100 years in business in the community with the Chamber’s Board Members and Darien Town Selectmen.
Thank you to our first selectman Jayme Stevenson who presented the proclamation. She also presented the Citation from General Assembly on behalf of State Rep Wood, State Rep Blumenthal, Senator Duff and Senator Miller.
First Selectman Stevenson mentions in her speech that Palmers has been feeding her family for 56 years. State Rep Wood shared with the Chamber that her family has been shopping at Palmer’s for 4 generations, starting in 1925! WOW, just wow!!
The Chamber presented Palmer’s with a plaque recognizing their milestone anniversary and their service to the community.
Happy Birthday to Palmers and Thank You for being an integral part of our community!
The floral department at Palmer’s served to be the perfect “photo shoot” studio! The lighting and the colorful background made a perfect spot!
